What It Is

#3: loiuse - 31 July, 2009 - 19:43

a Twitter client for Second Life. Webpage here

Target User

#4: loiuse - 31 July, 2009 - 19:43

Anybody that uses Twitter for educational purposes and wants to do so from within Second Life.

What It Does

#5: loiuse - 31 July, 2009 - 19:43
  • Shows tweets of the people you follow - checks every minute.
  • Allows you to tweet.
  • Allows you to insert the current landmark in your tweet easily via 2 keywords: SLURL (inserts slurl) and SLPOS (inserts text). See next section for examples on this.

How It Works

#6: loiuse - 31 July, 2009 - 19:43
  • Tweets from other people are shown in your Chat as they are produced.
  • To tweet, you have to precede your update text with /282. Example: if you type "/282 Good morning all" in the chat box and hit enter your twitter update will be "Good morning all".
  • To include a slurl to your current position in your update, include the keyword SLURL. Example: typing "/282 in SLURL checking for the current TwitterBox version - still 4." in the chat box will produce the update "in http://tinyurl.com/cpmwb7 checking for the current TwitterBox version - still 4.
