How It Works

#6: loiuse - 25 July, 2009 - 18:05

Freeview´s menu links the user to the following website : www.slguide.com where various channels can be selected for viewing. Other options on Freeview´s menu are: play, stop, pause, loop and unload, among others.  Freeview provides basic menu selection tools to viewers who aren't the owner, and when deeded, it will accept commands from any group member.  New Media URLs can be added to the Menu selection by editing the notecard in Freeview´s contents. Alternatively you can fine tune your restrictions by submitting new media URLs on the online bookmarks page. (A new page is opened in your browser upon touching the "TV guide" option.) The URL is sent for review before being posted to the site.  If Freeview is to be used by a single person, the Remote is not necessary. It can simply be dropped onto the parcel and played.  If Freeview is to be used on group owned land, all permissions should be enabled, and should be shared with and deeded to the group. As group deeded object cannot open browser URLs, the accessory "Freeview Remote" is required.  It should be configured following the menu options and not deeded to the group.

Experience of Tool

#11: loiuse - 25 July, 2009 - 18:07

I participated in a maths lesson at the University of Moonlight and I fell in love with this tool. It is very useful for displaying images and giving shape to everything that a teacher can say or explain. I will use it as a blackboard to give information to my students. It may also include communication tools to make good reading after the lesson for revision purposes. An assignment can also be given through a notecard and the teacher could maybe give an interactive lesson. It is awesome for displaying pictures one at a time or in a loop.
